SERIES...WALKING WITH GOD, Part 1

Introduction:

For many years, the Lord has been calling His people into a special
relationship with Him. He has many scriptures that talk about how we are to gain
that special relationship with Him. However, the Lord is grieving over one main
point. In the scriptures, Jesus gives us, not requests, but commands us to follow
His leading. He talks about our salvation and then goes farther by speaking about
the importance of 'the seal' of the Holy Spirit from 'on high' that He requires for us
to ever see heaven. Many have accepted that seal and asked the Presence of the
Lord to enter their lives in His fullness; and, yet, many, many more have shyed
away due to religious doctrines and beliefs. This, my friends, is something that we
should not fear but embrace in our coming to know our Lord for what He is,
marvelous, glorious, and worthy to be praised. Through this series, we hope to
help you look through the looking glass of your doubts and unbeliefs. And, in the
end, we hope to lead you into the most amazing, powerful, and greater
relationship on this earth with our Mighty Lord. He is looking for a Bride who
shines like her Bridegroom. His question has been and still is...'Who will listen and
who will turn away?'

Scriptures: Deuteronomy l0: l2...'And, now, Israel, what does the LORD your God
require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to 'walk' in all His ways, and to love
Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul.'
Genesis 5:24 - 'And, Enoch walked with God and he was not for God took him.'
Micah 6:8 - 'He has shown you, O'man, what is good; And, what does the Lord
require of you, But to do justly, to love mercy, And, 'walk' humbly with your God'?
'Walking With God' wasn't just for people of yester'years past. But, it is for us
today especially as He calls us in these End Times. It is for us right now, today!
...For those who will accept His call.

Our lives are empty and void and utterly worthless until we come into a true,
one-on-one, close relationship with today's living Christ. There is a definite
difference between just saying mere words and having that close, intimate
relationship. It is as different as 'night' and 'day'...'light and darkness'. Christ
coming alive in your life. There's nothing like it on earth. He has shown Himself to
be our God, Savior, our Father, and Best Friend. He, in turn, invites us to come
and walk with Him. He calls us to come and join Him in what 'He is doing' and has
opened His heart to any who are willing to open up their hearts, receive, and
come. He is a wonderful traveling through life companion.
Millions of people claim to have been 'born again'. Many say they have been
filled with the Holy Spirit but yet many have not learned to go on and walk with
God in unity and harmony.

We are a people weary and worn out who have lost our way. The Lord is looking
for those who have an inner ache for more of Him and the Master's closeness and
loving friendship.
The Good News is that we can still walk together with God. We can share life
with Him and experience more of Him with each new day. We can be acutely
aware of His Presence. We can know His intimate friendship. We can be guided

by Him every second of everyday as we become aware of His Presence in us. We
can sense His gracious Spirit by our side, speaking distinctly, saying emphatically
to us...'This is the way; walk in it'. He longs for our companionship. He gives
evidence in His Word...'My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow
me.'..John l0:27.

For centuries, He has come calling men and women to walk with Him. And,
some have responded and their lives were 'set apart', above and beyond the
people of that time. For example, people like Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Joshua,
Caleb, all chose to walk with God. Others like, Gideon, Samuel, David, Elijah,
Elisha, and Daniel. They knew God and walked with Him. Together they trod the
tough times, testings and trials; and yet, they lived above the sin and
contamination of their culture, separated themselves and moved in harmony with
God who had called them to walk with Him.

We heard the prophets calling out to the people. But, to their sadness, their
messages were left unheeded. John l:23 says, 'John replied the words of Isaiah
the prophet...'I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness; make straight the way
of the Lord.' Many turned away from the righteous call. Yet, those who listened
and willfully came found light. They found heaven's type of love. They found
Christ to be truly alive and they found a true abiding friend, a God of power whose
desire was to dwell with them in His glory and might, sharing that life with them.
And, in the fullness of time, God, very God, stepped upon the stage. He, Christ,
came among us, lived among us, walked among us. Jesus called many to walk
with Him, to follow Him. For three years, they walked with God.
In the next messages, we will discuss further ways we can walk with God and
