The Trinity/Facets of God

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4...'Hear, O Israel, The Lord our God, the
Lord is one.'

The Trinity is the fundemental Christian belief that God is one being
who exists in three persons (facets) of God in one. The word, 'trinity'
means three-in-one. No, the word 'trinity' does not appear in the Bible,
but that doesn't mean the concept isn't clearly taught throughout.
The Bible is full of scripture speaking of there being only one God, as
well as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - all being God or Facets of God.
That is where the confusion may come from.

Facets have also been used to illustrate the God-Head. Facets
meaning is 'one-side of something, many sided, as in a gem. All facets
are part of the same gem, aka a good illustration is the being of God...all
being God or facets of God. That's where the confusion may come
from.

The Trinity goes back as far as Genesis l:l that says, 'In the beginning,
'God' created the heavens and the earth.'

The Hebrew word for God is 'Elohim'...plural. Every time the term
'Elohim' (plural) is used throughout the Old Testament is referring to the
'one true God' and the idea that God is somehow three and one all
started in Genesis.

In the end, the Trinity/facets of God are so amazing and so hard to
understand. He is onmipotent, everywhere at once, around us, in us,
and through us. His glory and power and presence alive and flowing in
each who truly follow Him daily. He is all powerful, all merciful, and yet
full of justice. We have access to all that He is as Jesus stated in His
prayer in Gethsemane in John l7:20..'I do not pray for these alone; but
also for those who will believe in Me through their word, that they may
all be one, as You, Father are in Me, and I in 'You'. May they also be
one in Us that the world may believe that You have sent Me.' Amen.
