Predestined In Christ

Scripture: Ephesians l:ll-l2...'In Him also we have received an
inheritance being predestined according to one purpose of Him who
works all things according to the councilof His own will, that we, who
were the first to hope in Messiah should live for the praise of His glory.'
According to the Word, we have been 'predestined' for a certain
purpose. We have a purpose in this world. Destiny in simple terms, is
God's appointed or ordained future for you. Destiny is what the Lord
has predetermined you to be and become by His divine will.

There are also no individual destinies but one destiny for every
believer. Ephesians l:l0 says...'That in the dispensation of the fullness
of time, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which
are in heaven and which are on earth in Him.' Yet, you do have a
destiny at the same time. It doesn't matter where you are in life. We all
have a predetermined destiny given to us before the foundation of the
world.

So many of God's people strive to accomplish wonderful projects
and things for God. But, it all boils down to one thing...Are you allowing
the Lord to change your heart from glory to glory?
Romans 8:29 says...'For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to
be conformed into the image of His Son, that He might be the first born
among many brethren.'

On judgment day, now one word will be spoken of 'our' mighty works.
There will be no notice of personal fame, success, or our
accomplishments while on earth. But, instead, the question will be, 'Did
you grow into the likeness of Christ? Did you allow the Spirit of God to
humble you and teach you to love and serve others? How did you act
around others and at home?

So, I have to ask...'Are you fulfilling your destiny? Are you more like
Jesus this year than last year? How is your marriage doing? Do your
children see you as loving and tender-hearted or as a grouch? Do other
people who know you see the love of Jesus flowing through you?
At the end of life, what will be and what term would most apply to
you? This man missed his destiny, or this man walked humbly with
God?

Micah 6:8 says...'He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what
the Lord requires of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk
humbly with your God.' Amen.
