Glorious New Year Message

Here we stand once again at the beginning of a new year. Although we find ourselves in the midst of perilous and uncertain times, we can look forward 'to the new year' with great anticipation, for I sense we are standing at the threshold of one of the greatest hours in the history of the Church. The Bride of Christ is about to arise and shine with ever-increasing degrees of the glory of God. She is being positioned to “set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called her out of darkness into His marvelous (light) (1 Peter 2:9 AMP).

Formed For Glory

The Apostle Paul, to whom God revealed the mystery of the Church and the glory she would possess, sums up the eternal purpose of God for the Church in Ephesians 3:21, “To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen – so be it.” God's plan and purpose is for His glory to reside in the Church. The concept of the Church being filled with God's glory is not some new design that God determined after the Church was formed. It has always been His intention for His people to possess His glory. Listen to God's declaration in Isaiah 43:7, “Even everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, whom I have made.”

We were created to be a container for God's glory; formed and fashioned to “house” the glory of God. Right now, at this very moment, in our earthen vessels, each of us is carrying in our inward parts, a heavenly treasure – a measure of the glory of God. It is the same glory that filled Moses' tabernacle and Solomon's temple; the same transcendent glory that radiated from Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. Although it seems incredible that we could be recipients of this magnificent glory, it is absolutely true.

Our destiny, both in this life and for all eternity, is gloriousness. Forever, we are destined to shine with the brilliance of God's magnificent glory. It is part of our eternal inheritance.

The Lord is saying to the Church (His Bride):

Marvelous days are these, for you reside here on earth, and your eyes will behold My end-time

plans unfold. Time is short now. Soon, I will come for My Bride. However, before I come, there is much to be accomplished. I have been preparing you for the greatest outpouring of My Spirit that this world has ever experienced. It's so close now – the unveiling of My glory.

As My holy habitation, you, My Bride will carry My glory from one end of the earth to the other.

There is not a place that shall not be touched by My glory. Even though intense darkness is covering this earth, the darkness will only serve as a backdrop for the 'light' and magnificence of My glory.

Come close to Me My precious Bride. Pursue Me with your whole being. I fervently long to be the passionate yearning of your heart and affections! No one can satisfy you as I do. There is no higher pleasure than that which you experience through your union and communion with Me.

Your greatest need in this New Year is an impartation of Me. You need My fullness in your heart and life. Through our union, I will make you complete; make you whole. I will make you to be conformed and transformed into My glorious image.

Transformation into Christ likeness is what constitutes true gloriousness. From this position, you will carry a weight of glory that is far superior to that of previous generations. It will surely be said of you, even as is recorded of the Temple of old, when the house was finished, the glory of the Lord filled the house. (1 Kings 8:ll).

It is my desire for this coming year, that I will live my life bringing pleasure to my Beloved. My hope is the continued formation of Christ within that I might be a carrier of His glory in this earth.

I close with the following prayer:

(For I always pray) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation – of insight into mysteries and secrets – in the (deep and intimate) knowledge of Him, By having the eyes of your heart flooded with 'light', so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints – His set-apart ones. And (so that you can know and understand) what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His (own) right hand in the heavenly (places), Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named – above every title that can be conferred – not only in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come (Ephesians l:l7-20 AMP).

Glorious Bride – In the coming year, may you experience the richness of God's abiding presence, come to know Him in greater depths of intimacy, and may you discover more full the role you are destined to play in God's great end-time drama.

…... We would most gracious like to thank Muriel Halverson of GloriousBride.org for allowing Life-Light Ministries to share this wonderful word for the Bride of Christ. Written in 20l3, this word even today demonstrates the Lord's love and heart, and will for His people. May the Lord bless GloriousBride.org through the coming new year until the Lord comes to take us away. We thank her so very much for this word!
